A few years back, my then 12'yo son bought Spore on Steam. For 2 or 3 weeks he was amazed by the game. No hype, just playing the weird game that was on sale.

I believe a "data-driven" approach for MS is not good for EVERY company's arm. Specially those that involves art. Not dismissing the value of data, but it's not the best guidance all the time. Unless you are clever enough to put feeling in that data.

Easy swap is very interesting, looking at the technology. But it doesn't make sense financially.

Most important for me right now is to achieve a model that doesn't put Studios at risk. If the market doesn't accept 3 platforms in the exclusives strategy, so go multi and try to be sustainable. Xboxes will be like Surfaces in the sense of "need to buy".

I had a VCR with only 2 digits for the years. In 1999, I test it changing the date to december 31st, 23:58 to see. I expected nothing, TBH, but the damn thing got corrupted in some way. It started malfunctioning behaviour since this, until I stopped using it.

A machine that contains Xbox, Epic and Valve ecosystems can be, in my opinion, a more interesting hardware to buy than an pure Xbox. With Sony launching more games on PC, that could be the way to put those games on "Xbox machine". It must be better than a PC in some way, thou.

To offer a console for other manufacturers is to avoid some pains. The console(s) are going to be expensive, but hey, they would say they didn't abandon the hardware space. Maybe there will be one manufactured by them at first.

What they really want to have as a business proposal demands more time, so they are implementing step by step, trying to hide the big picture before it can be attractive. So "just 4 games" speech was a tactic to gain more time.

They are, but they're trying to do this stealthly as possible. I would bet there is a reason. They probably have actions based on data gathered. Like: consoles are selling way more because of exclusives, do more of this; otherwise, offer in more platforms. And it seems console sales were low.

Yeah, but I believe some things are hard to implement without breaking the gameplay. Let's see, the studio is awesome.

Since the beginning, I knew that Obsidian strenghs would be hard to show in a trailer. I've just crossed fingers that they would do what they love to do.
