Oh man, it's amazing how good old headphones can sound with proper care and a bit of EQ. My used Sennheiser HD595 are sounding fantastic with Innerfidelity's Auto EQ config in Equalizer APO + Peace GUI. Gotta love open source software.

Trying to cut off from US big tech like Google as a #European is a nasty wake up call. So far I'm in the process of switching:

I gotta say, between the LCD screen, console price, cost of games, lack of ergonomic upgrades, etc., my future gaming plans will be to exhaust my Switch OLED's library and move on from Nintendo. Granted, that's only the case bc I'm not that crazy about their first-party IP, save for modern Zeldas.

After the PS5 Pro debacle, I hope the market speaks loud and clear about an iterative, LCD-based unit with this price tag and 80€ - 90€ games. Sadly, this being Nintendo, we all know it won't.

After the PS5 Pro debacle, I hope the market speaks loud and clear about an iterative, LCD-based unit with this price tag and 80€ - 90€ games. Sadly, this being Nintendo, we all know it won't.
Fantastic news as far as I'm concerned. Bring back solid, fully-fledged single player campaigns.

Another used audio bargain: perfectly intact Sennheiser HD595 for less than 20€. A thorough clean, fresh pads and she's good to go. I am, however, extremely disappointed in the fixed cable, as opposed to most other 500 series cans.

I must have had some sort of Ubi-like-open-world-virus back when I originally tried Nier Automata because wow... I feel like I'm just now unearthing a glistening pearl of a video game. Y'all were right.

The way Nier Automata's minimap adapts to the change in perspective from 3D to 2D is sublime. Now I recognise the devil is definitely in the details with this one.

So I'm not crazy after all. I've been noticing strange stutters for a while when playing VRR enabled games like Silent Hill 2 on base PS5. I was actually worried it was a fault with one of the latest LG C2 patches. Thanks to @digitalfoundry.bsky.social for enlightening the people as usual.
