I’m also going to see if I can split this behemoth apart. It’s going to take a lot of attempts and a lot of snapshots. Since my M4 is ARM and the image is x86, all of this is happening on a lab server at home, which adds its own layer of chaos to the process.

Of all the corners of GitHub Enterprise I’ve dug through, unraveling the license system has easily been the most fun. It’s one of the few areas where the complexity actually pays off in clarity once everything clicks.

This isn’t innovation… it’s risk. Atlas is basically a Chromium shell with AI bolted on, giving it deep access to your browsing and behaviour. The fact it can remember your activity, act on your behalf and integrate inside the browser raises serious security and privacy questions.
