Even an acoustic piano can be digital. It's discrete and divisible. If Austin Clark's The Particulate Instantiation of Homogeneous Pink is correct, it might be that human perception is digital. And so the analogue (the continuous) would be a consequence of lower resolution in our perception.

Hi! I've been curious about archaeology in videogames :) Thanks for sharing! I'm now taking a look at this paper. During my master's I wrote an essay regarding the digital/analogue divide and I've gathered that it doesn't really matter — it might even hinder research and creative practice!
