‘Babe’ the movie, is about an affectionate pig that talks with other animals. A delightful and hugely popular movie that was filmed in this area of Robertson.

Tourists love taking photos of the Potato. It’s been on National News before as being voted the most ugliest public sculpture in Australia. With the right marketing approach the News will be thirsty for the new makeover and its connection with the 30th anniversary of the filming of ‘Babe’ the movie

I was at a local eatery adjacent the Big Potato. The business owner was a bit down with the lack of customers coming into town. She asked ‘how do you get people to come to town?’ ‘Why don’t we get creative with ideas’, I said. ‘Look at that Big Potato.. imagine if we transform it into a Big Pig’

Thanks Jelena.. Well, there is a giant potato called the ‘Big Potato’ next door to the studio and is affectionately known nationally as the most ugly large public sculpture in Australia… so I am working on transforming it into the Big Pig. Think ‘Babe’ the movie, which was filmed here. Kooky ha

Haha.. well actually there isn’t much view from the studio. That would probably be too distracting for me. The studio for me is its own sanctuary where I feel inspired and peaceful. Our little farmhouse, on the other hand, has that connection with nature. A different sanctuary
