My last PhD paper got published. It only took 2+ yrs!😅 Highlights of the journey: playing a Britney Spears parody about it for 100 people (which earned me my favourite mug)… and having a baby in the middle of it all. 1st post here and your reminder that persistence tops brilliance every time.
🌊🧵 1/ Vanderford Glacier, holding more than half-a-metre of global sea level rise, is retreating faster than any other in East #Antarctica (18.6 km of grounding line retreat 1996-2020!) It’s one of a number of glaciers in Vincennes Bay melted by deep warm water getting underneath.
