Might be a shocker from me that what I am about to select is not a flight game. I'd choose Parasite Eve. It was a game that was formative for a younger me understanding that video games are a complex form of media. I played it again last year and it still holds up well.

Last night @flyinghueman.bsky.social and I went to a live DJ set in #VRChat. We saw @utamihasegawa.bsky.social open the event. I feel like I have been missing out. Gotta attend more of these! I enjoyed being able to calm down and let the music take me.

I feel like I had a major personal shift at the start of this year. 2025 is so full of real opportunities I can actually achieve, I suddenly find myself asking "why shouldn't I?" My determination in many things feels off the charts. I've been taking chances on things I never would have before-

My fiancée has been trying to keep me engaged with Christmas to offset my usual bad feelings around this time of year. We made our first gingerbread house! I feel adorable.

What a work day last week to save a contract. Worked from 8:30 AM to 11:47 AM. Stayed longer to fix a potential problem until 5:50 PM. Repacked the vehicle from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Laid in bed unable to sleep. Went in to work again from 12:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Never wanna see this door again. 😅😑

In my job, the nice part about servicing offices is their random events you get included in for keeping their beer, coffee and wine flowing. This was packed with multiple cheeses, grapes and other veggies. Tasty!

I put my business on notice that no one is working Thursday and Friday. The work week was short but intense. The most complex job was rebalancing a draft beer system. Took two days and a late night on a rooftop. Got through it though! At least it was a nice night in Denver.

During a regular playthrough, the F-14D is the best aircraft for the mission that players could purchase. The Tornado F3 or Mirage F1 had similar speed, but they fall behind in all other aircraft stats. The F-14D's defense was good if you had to tank a missile or two to stay on the fleeing shuttles.

Airforce Delta Storm (2001) had one of the coolest interception missions. With the enemy on the verge of launching orbital shuttles carrying satellite based weapons, the player flies to high altitude to intercept the launch vehicles before they leave the atmosphere.
