saw that the op keyon calls himself a "film reviewer" but then i see his letterboxd has only 52 films logged. like most atla glazers, this really is a case of nostalgia goggles and barely watching anything else.

apart from all the grown ass adults getting seething at ppl calling it kid's show, the op claiming atla is "the only show with a big character ensemble with a perfect ending" is goofy. the finale has always been divisive and the show doesn't even have a big ensemble cast.

the funniest thing was that joncy was stuck in its own ship war against stency. stency broke up and nancy began dating jonathan. some ppl shipped stenathan as a joke bc steve used to bully jon and they were romantic rivals. then the finale breaks up joncy and throws in fucking stenathan bait.

i didn't care for by/er or m11 and i predicted neither would be endgame, but the one thing that did surprise me was that joncy broke up. apparently, that was something they decided on at the last minute bc one of the showrunners got inspired by his divorce lmao.

i can't wait for all the revisionism that will stem from the fandom's hindsight bias where ppl will go on about how 11's death was hinted at from the very beginning and there was no way m11 could have been endgame 😂
