Progress on the kitty wheel in action.
Collier is making progress, even witnessed her make 3-4 full rotations without a treat present. Orchid blooms are still intact as well (Collier knocked it over last year around this time while in bloom).

She's gotten more used to the wheel, and I've gotten her to do a full rotation for a treat. This is officially one week into training.

She was waiting for potential treats, but still. She sat there for a full minute which is a long time for her. My new trick is holding a treat in my hand just out of reach along the inside of the wheel and once she's made some progress she gets the treat.

Placing a treat in the seam of the "grass" and rotating it to the top so she has to move the wheel. She's now "trying to find treats" without a treat present. Rewatching the Medicaid episode of John Oliver.

She was placed on it, but progress! It's hard to tell who's training who. As she has returned to her favorite way to bug me, jumping on my desk and rubbing against my second monitor. Enlisted my hubby to work with her today.

New cat wheel has been met with suspicion. Rubbing treats and catnip on the treads has at least got her exploring the wheel, even if she's not ready to climb aboard yet.
