BUT it is an extremely valuable space for community organizing (the outcome of which is not inherently positive or negative/NIMBY or YIMBY but that's a separate issue) and education on home gardening

in my experience (community farm in west berkeley) community farming is never going to be very efficient or productive (40 people spending 4 hours a week results in less produce than 4 people spending 40 hours a week)

ninth st is a bike boulevard but badly needs repaving and taking even the rapid bus at rush hour takes even longer than biking
and crossing san pablo on a bike has gotten better but is still perilous

full electrification is the only real path to full scale decarbonization but is no more realistic than in-home hydrogen if we need every household tossing $40k towards it

ultimately i feel like any electrification strategy requiring home owners or especially renters to make hard financial tradeoffs for climate benefits only is doomed to fail
