They might also be algorithmically boosting people who return to the platform.

And for absolute clarity in case you really haven't done the reading: "Stay: Yes or no" was not the only question that order needed to resolve, and letting the conservatives on the court answer the other questions would have starved people for longer absent the whole thing becoming moot.

There was no action she could have taken that would not have resulted in a stay, I believe is the point - denial would have permitted DOJ to go around her.

Though could be redone to provide proportional representation alongside the more localised, riding-based representation Parliament provides.

Would provide a reasonable means of reform here in Canada, at least.

Oh, yeah, we've been starting to get this kind of coverage showing up in Canada where we don't have the same sort of politicization - which is a problem because when it *isn't* responsive to a problem, it starts to make it seem like the problem exists and plants tehe seed to cause it.

It's also an answer to the question - stopping while the problem exists doesn't solve anything, far from it.

The necessity is a symptom, but it *is* necessary. In the US it's a response to politicized courts, not the thing politicizing them.

In countries that haven't endured long-term projects to politically capture the judiciary, it's not something that's particularly necessary.

Not disputing that it's a necessity in the US - just, that necessity is a symptom of a larger problem.

Might be a bit extra complicated due to wind and water both being advantaged against the same elements.

I rather expect it's not all just sitting in one account, and that the people who would have the access for that are non-political staff who aren't going to break the law like that (and have their union to back them up if they need to).

If he could manage it, it wouldn't be fast enough.

Really, given what the ad slots must cost (and possibly whatever cancellation costs might be in the contract), I'm inclined to guess that when they're "pulling it" is just all they paid for - likely would be very difficult to find that level of flexibility in the legislated budget.

In some degree of fairness, Sam's ad spots are a piece of content unto themselves.

Sometimes with running storylines. Yes, I'm serious.

Complaining? Unlikely.

The ad will be coming down on Monday - after getting a bunch of eyes during the World Series. Seems like a clear decision to let it do its job first.

Well, he's *trying* to be mean to people who push back.

It is, irrefutably, a Nazi tattoo. He could claim he didn't know what it was and get it lasered off or covered, which would still leave questions judgement - but dissembling about it is a whole hell of a lot worse.

I mean, ideally take the power to unilaterally draw districts away from politicians.

There's a reason US-style gerrymandering isn't a universal problem.

one of my go-to touchpoints is “is it possible for this system to generate the events surrounding and during Fleetwood Mac Rumors tour?”

if not, probably needs more drama hooks

have just realized I have a new one to add to my list, and that’s “can this do The Lion In Winter” (2/2)
