I've been using a similar app called Forest: Focus for Productivity for years, I did buy the pro version to get the app allow list feature but it was only $2 for lifetime access. So, I guess this is a PSA to check out Forest if you want that feature but can't afford it.

Milliliters or ounces seems harder to grasp to me. Like you said, it doesn't need to be super accurate and everyone has a teaspoon. Not everyone has a measuring cup or a scale. Calling it a teaspoon is more accessible and creates fewer dishes to wash. You're brewing your tea just fine 🫶🏻
