Well, the first 3 seasons were shot on 35mm film which does benefit from a 4K resolution and has not previously been available. The latter seasons were shot on 2K digital video so you're absolutely correct there.

It's really tiring to have to research the hell out of each release of a TV show just to make sure it's not butchered to hell. I'm still astonished they released Seinfeld on 4K in the original aspect ratio.

Did they shoot season 4 onwards in 4K? Obviously the film is fine as long as they rescanned it, but I'm a little nervous about upscaling for the DV seasons
