THE HALLOWEEN SCENE Halloween time can be spooky fun, but it's not enjoyed by everyone. Be very careful and stay aware. There are some monsters lurking out there. Pumpkin man with an angry carved face, may flip his lid and jump into your space. A bat could suddenly swoop down low, turn into a vampire with eyes aglow. If you hear a howl, you better run. A werewolf transformation has begun. If you view a silhouette against the moon, a witch is flying on high and may get you soon. If a person approaches, don't you be presumin', it's not really the zombie of an undead human. Stay away from gutters and don't look down. You could be attacked by a serial killer clown. Some monsters are not so obviously scary. They give you a smile and seem so merry. Those are the freaks to watch out for all year. They appear to be normal, but are not, I fear. Look out for an evil glint in their eyes. Their lust for blood will take you by surprise. From calm to crazy, they suddenly change. Maniacally laugh in a manner so strange. They love to feed on any life force, and drag you down without any remorse. I hope I didn't scare you, with this story of warning. I pray that somehow, you survive until morning. The saints will march in, and erase the obscene, with no tricks, only treats, in this HALLOWEEN SCENE.

A GORY GLORY STORY Halloween is coming, and you had better beware. There are already zombies wandering out there. Poor, desperate, and lost souls without any heart, greedy, and hell-bent on tearing you apart. Lacking properly functioning brains of their own, they feed on the life force that loving souls have shown. A thoughtless abandon to appease their own needs. Down a nightmarish road this unquenchable lust leads. Their travel companions are witches, and ghosts, casting their spells, and haunting from coast to coast. The witches, they cackle with an evil glint in their eyes, stirring their nasty brew of misery in disguise. Black cats walk on the wild side along a thin line, risking their lives just for fun, these foolish felines. Vampires out for blood, such a human disgrace. They gaze in a mirror, but cannot see their face. The werewolf howls at the moon as if in remorse, wondering how on Earth he can change his course. All the blessed saints will prevail with the rising sun, and this reign of terror will at last be over, and done.

REVERSE OF THE CURSE Once upon a time there was a witch. She grew tired of this world's absurdity. She vowed there better be a switch, or she'd teach them to find maturity. She was sick of hatred and greed. It was making her go insane. Her warnings they would not heed, so, bitterness conquered her brain. She issued one final warning. Humanity must make a new path. If not, then come tomorrow morning, the world would know her wrath. The humans just kept on sinning. She had finally had enough. They'll soon find they are not winning. Now, things would really get rough. She cast upon them an evil curse. Much suffering they would know. She said it would not reverse, until positive changes did show. Everyone laughed at her with glee. Her warning they did not believe. However, they would quickly see, the chaos her curse did achieve. After many years of suffering, people finally began to understand. Their pain just might be buffering, if they shared kindness and lent a hand. The curse, it blessedly lifted. Prosperity and happiness returned. Humanity at last felt gifted. So thankful that they had learned. This here may only be a story, but there's a lesson given within. The world could reach its glory, if we all would finally begin. Do we ever want some peace, or do we want our own downfall? Once hatred and greed do cease, kindness and love will heal us all.

EYE DROPS FOR THE CYCLOPS Near a small village long ago, within the country of Greece, a cyclops terrorized them so, the citizens prayed it would cease. The cyclops had one huge eye. Apparently, it insufficiently worked. Whatever the true reason why, he just kept on going berserk. He knew that he was feared, but wondered why he was hated. His thoughts just never cleared. His anger only exacerbated. He swore he would get even, if he was not given respect. With the carnage he was leavin', what on Earth did he expect? He wandered around oblivious, to the true nature of humans. His fury made him so delirious, the more he kept on presumin'. The king and queen were desperate. Something just had to be done. They summoned the wizard to express it, and begged him to come up with one. The wizard worked his magic. He concocted special eye drops. The king and queen were ecstatic. They must be administered to the cyclops. They had someone climb up a tree. Managed to get the cyclops to chase. He thought it was only debris, when some fell onto his face. Still enough of the magical serum, splashed into the cyclops' eyeball. He temporarily lost equilibrium. Down onto the ground he did fall. When he came to his senses, he gazed at people gathered around. He no longer felt on his defenses. An unfamiliar peace he had found. He realized in fact that he, had been so sorely mistaken. He was just like you and me. In newfound clarity he awakened. We as humans must understand, in many ways we are all the same. Perhaps it's time we lend a hand, and stop this insatiable game. The time has come to begin. We're not here to win a prize. For one and all are God's children. Just stop and open your eyes.

TRAPDOOR TROLL There once was an old troll, that lived under a bridge. His home carved into a knoll, overlooked by a high ridge. The bridge was quite small, for pedestrians to cross. He hoped one would fall. He salivated at the loss. A trapdoor he finally made, to ensure this evil scheme. Yet, everyone apparently afraid, to travel this way, it seemed. He kept himself always hidden. How could anyone know? He was unaware it was forbidden. Town folks warned not to go. He waited and he waited. His hunger was growing. This only reinforced his hating. Suddenly it started snowing. The snowflakes they glistened. The wind it was humming. The troll intently listened. He heard someone coming. Footsteps up above as well. He pulled onto the lever. However, nothing downward fell. He had thought he was so clever. He climbed up the hill. No longer attempting to hide. He shivered in the chill. Saw a figure on the other side. How could this be right? His deductions had failed. He stepped onto boards all white. Suddenly downward he sailed. He fell into the water. Hit his head on a large boulder. The farmer and his daughter, walked on as it grew colder. That there was the end, of the troll and his trap. A life lived in this trend, usually ends in a mishap. Playing tricks and conniving, will not get you ahead. For instead of you thriving, worse could happen instead.

THE FORBIDDEN FAIRY There once was a male fairy, who strayed from the norm. Some would say, "how dare he?" Still, he refused to conform. He simply lived his life, staying true to himself. Although words cut like a knife, he was no elf on a shelf. He wore whatever he did like. He followed his own trail. Told haters to take a hike. He certainly was not frail. Many fairies called him names. He laughed in their faces. He was good at head games. Put them right in their places. He had his own magic. Had some tricks up his sleeve. Their lost pride often tragic. His sharp wit did achieve. Then it happened one day, the fairies were under attack. While most of them ran away, he stood there and fought back. His magic was super-powered. His cunning took them by surprise. Some invaders just cowered. There was fear in their eyes. Peace returned thereafter. His band of fairies rejoiced. They danced around in laughter. Apologies and thanks were voiced. He lived out his existence, now respected by most. No longer given resistance, or treated like a ghost. He had taught many others, to stay true to your heart. Learn to love all your brothers. That's where true peace will start.

COURT JESTER PROTESTER In a land very far away, there once lived a court jester. The legend I hear them say, is one day, he became a protester. He always performed his job well. Sometimes it was such a chore. Still, the jokes that he would tell, effectively made the king roar. His act was really quite weird. He danced and jumped all around. Truth be told he deeply feared, when the king instead only frowned. For he was thoroughly aware, the punishment that would come. He certainly did not care, to have to suffer with some. One day his act did fail. The king was far from impressed. The jester's face turned pale, and his heart beat in his chest. Things then turned quite dour. In the dungeon he was trapped. They tortured him more than an hour. That's when his mind just snapped. By chance, he managed an escape. He ran off into the dark wood. Suddenly, a plan took shape, of how he could get them good. The kingdom was full of unrest. Riots broke out with their malice. The court jester joined in the protest, to get the king out of the palace. Eventually the monarchy did crumble. A peaceful king took the throne. Those in power remained ever humble. Lest the people's anger again be shown. The moral of this story, is simple and really quite plain. Live your life within your own glory, or it will make you slowly go insane. Make others happy with glee, but never be taken for granted. Remember to make them see, your kindness can always be recanted.

THE KING OF SHADE There once was a nasty king, that threw a whole lot of shade. In fact, pretty much everything, he ever did was downright depraved. He tried to portray being regal. Yet had extremely low self-esteem. So much he decreed was illegal. His innocence was just a pipe dream. He looked down on all the peasants. Considered them all expendable. Their suffering was not so pleasant. His disdain was really incredible. His knights he made into thieves. They did whatever they were told. He always had a plot up his sleeves, to steal another king's gold. He treated women like trash. Used them then tossed them aside. He paid them plenty of cash, if his secrets they would hide. Half of his kingdom was scared. The other half apparently blind. Some prayed an end to this nightmare, and for a ruler who was simply kind. His shade finally caught up with him. He was captured and put on trial. In fact, things were looking grim. He lost his sarcastic smile. The king of shade was dethroned. Prosperity returned to the land. In the dungeon, you could hear him groan. Love and light, he never could understand.

BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE In life, sometimes we are blind, to things meant for our own good. In due time hopefully we will find, exactly how we misunderstood. Sometimes things that we want, are far from what we need. Tricky people out there will flaunt, what they really never guaranteed. Our angels above and the Lord, attempt to steer us clear, of heartbreak and discord. We are not aware they interfere. These are blessings in disguise. Fate has changed our destiny. Once we open up our eyes, we are surprised to finally see. A subtle change in our decision, saved us from a ton of pain. Some force helped us to envision. Yet, there's no way we can explain. Perhaps instinct has played a part. Some things are hard to analyze. Be thankful and cross your heart, for these sweet blessings in disguise.

POT OF GOLD LIMERICK 🍀 Long ago in merry Ireland, they told a story magical and grand, about a little leprechaun, and the legendary phenomenon, of a pot of gold at his command. It sat at the end of a rainbow. No human knew where it was though. Searches ended in vain. Its whereabouts did remain, a secret nobody seemed to know. The leprechaun did a jig and grinned. He said the answer was on the wind. Many people with greed, would just beg and plead, but failed much to their chagrin. Some laughed and got their kicks, by calling the leprechaun a lunatic. However, he was not fooled. He said they need to be schooled, if they are just up to their old tricks. One young boy suddenly got the clue. The pot of gold he did not pursue. The wind whispered in his mind, to stay humble and be kind. It came to him from out of the blue. Perhaps the gold was only a place, where one dwelled with some grace. True happiness that we treasure, simply cannot be measured, by material riches we chase. The leprechaun gave him a wink. He said, I like the way that you think. Too many others pass the buck, and never will have any luck. Their greed and selfishness simply stink. The pot of gold limerick alas is now over. May you discover a four-leaf clover. I wish good fortune you gain, and kindness you will maintain, all your days until their closure.

THE FEEL OF AN ORDEAL Often, we take life for granted. This is just human nature perhaps. However, life isn't always enchanted. Our whole world seems to collapse. Not for a moment should you assume, you will forever escape unscathed. Misfortune can suddenly bloom. With utter sadness you are bathed. If you will, use your imagination. Get the feel of an ordeal. It does not require investigation, into the pain one cannot conceal. At times there is desperation. Our faith is put to the test. We are consumed by the devastation. We may feel we are far from blessed. Every single person's misunderstanding, feels like a slap across the face. Life seems just too demanding, and we will feel so out of place. It will take some time to heal. The timeframe is not written in stone. When someone is going through an ordeal, the last thing they need is to feel alone.
