Hey @safety.bsky.app - there's a documented bug where moderation settings reset to defaults. Users set "Rude" to WARN, but content gets hidden anyway. This is affecting visibility for accounts with the rude label.

So when I file this complaint with the FTC on Black Friday, I'm not complaining about being criticized. I'm documenting that Bluesky built a moderation system that enforces ideological conformity, marked me for challenging that ideology,

This is institutional capture. A platform built a moderation system around progressive activist values. It then enforces ideological conformity by marking accounts that challenge that ideology—even when those challenges come from the left.

So the "bug" that suppresses my visibility isn't accidental. It's the system working as designed: protecting accounts that align with the moderation team's political commitments while silencing criticism of them.

When I criticized within that framework, the system treated me as the problem—not the accounts spreading authoritarian ideology under a progressive banner.

That's not coincidence. The moderation system is ideologically aligned with that activist ecosystem. The accounts doing the reporting share the same political framework as Bluesky's moderation team.

The actual reason I got marked "Rude": I called out an account amplifying anarchist/pro-Hamas rhetoric while characterizing AOC as a genocide collaborator. I identified it as a Nazi asset strategy—instrumentalizing Palestinian liberation to mask authoritarianism.

Bluesky issue #5361 documents this. Settings revert without user action. If you've customized your moderation preferences and they keep resetting, you're experiencing this bug.
