Great check out bike ride to school with granddaughter and her dad this morning. Checking out the route for future #BikeBus. Granddaughter started off on cargo bike so that we can safely cross the intersection of the 55 mph 4 lane road that has no signalization. Then she biked 3.5 miles to school.

Sunny out and temps and humidity have dropped so great day for a bike ride to the donut shop with daughter and granddaughters. Always interesting being the only ones showing up by bike. Need a #ParadigmShift to get more #Bikeable #Walkable #Suburbs

Typical traffic calming efforts by neighbors not all that effective. People still speeding, starting at phones, and not stopping for stop signs. Why doesn't it work? Me - How about speed bumps/humps? Drivers - Are you crazy?

Bike ride in the neighborhood today. Driver ran stop sign at speed, and another driver close passed with less than three feet clearance. Two neighbors have placed children at play, slow down signs out next to road. Too many drivers driving over the speed limit (25 mph). #Motonormativity

Installed this #TrafficGarden in a different neighborhood this year. In two weeks it was used by many kids, and neighbors gathered to chat while watching the kids play. Place for kids to play and develop. Unfortunately the HOA decided it could not stay and had to be removed. #Motonormativity?

Installed this #TrafficGarden in 2020 during pandemic so kids could have a place to play, be active, develop mobility skills and traffic safety awareness. It was in there for 9 months after my neighbors asked me to leave it place. They liked seeing kids play and talking to neighbors. #Community

Photo from 3 years ago, headed to donut shop with granddaughters, infra next to neighborhood. Would you want to bike/walk next to, or on, a 55 mph traffic on 4 lane state highway? Multi-use path on other side but difficult to cross without signalization. Barrier for kids #IindependentlMobility
