Deadwood being (my favourite TV show ever) one of the only other shows that comes to mind, though even this romanticised the violence and 'roughness' of the old west

As a Brit with the 'Wild West' being being framed through Hollywood films and a nostalgic/almost romantic filter, there is not many films/TV that shows the true nature of taming the environment and the sacrifices people went through, the barbarity that were wrought upon people.

It was a brutal watch, but loved every minute. It helped it looked amazing too

Glad you discussed the youtube subscription feed (even with it's pitfalls). I notice my main feed gets disrupted quickly if I go down a rabbit hole on a subject, so being able to see those I am actually subscribed to saves me going mad! I'm post 40 so also an old crank though!
