Um, no. Not “standard protocol” to immediately announce that agents were acting in self defense and reassign them to continuing active duty, remove evidence from the scene, block state investigators, and then on the fifth day relent to political pressure and put them on “administrative leave.”

I mean, if they wanted to build popular US support, they could just repost the original, right? Hard to argue this isn’t just all about Trump when you’re swapping him in for Uncle Sam.

Note the omission of the original’s expansionist text — “the western patrol’s long stretch” — Why? Because the whole idea of America being the world’s police is super unpopular with the Trump base.

Right. Admitting you can’t do professional work alone does not make you unprofessional. In fact, specialization is a defining aspect of most professions.

Competence in general is undervalued. Seems like all of a sudden everyone assumes they can do anything with no help or skill and that somehow that’s more impressive than doing it well.

Biden wouldn’t do this because he believes in the rule of law and wouldn’t make use of the massive loophole the S.C. so generously gave him as president. He knows they intended these kingly powers for his successor, not for him.
