Good. But worth pointing out that exactly none of this is “per standard agency protocol.”
January 28, 2026 at 7:21 PM
Um, no. Not “standard protocol” to immediately announce that agents were acting in self defense and reassign them to continuing active duty, remove evidence from the scene, block state investigators, and then on the fifth day relent to political pressure and put them on “administrative leave.”

I mean, if they wanted to build popular US support, they could just repost the original, right? Hard to argue this isn’t just all about Trump when you’re swapping him in for Uncle Sam.

Note the omission of the original’s expansionist text — “the western patrol’s long stretch” — Why? Because the whole idea of America being the world’s police is super unpopular with the Trump base.

Right. Admitting you can’t do professional work alone does not make you unprofessional. In fact, specialization is a defining aspect of most professions.

Competence in general is undervalued. Seems like all of a sudden everyone assumes they can do anything with no help or skill and that somehow that’s more impressive than doing it well.

Trump wants you to thank him for having stopped punching you in the face. But he’s not prepared to admit that the face punching wasn’t a helpful and enjoyable experience for you.

You can add Walla Walla, WA — 1800-2000 protestors (unofficial organizer consensus). This is large for our small town (population 33k) in red Eastern Washington, but not a record — the 2017 Women’s March drew between 2000 and 2400. www.union-bulletin.com/news/local/w...
'We’re angry, and we’re here': Hundreds of 'No Kings' protesters turn out in downtown Walla Walla
The event, hosted by the Walla Walla Activist Network with help from the Walla Walla County Democrats, was among the hundreds scheduled across the U.S. on Saturday.

Hardworking Americans who value doing well at our jobs are used to the “Sunday Scaries.” I don’t want to trivialize any specific travesty, but we’d definite like our Fridays back, please.

The hell sort of justice system allows a candidate under investigation for crimes that could constitutionally disqualify him from running, succeed in obstructing and stalling until he could win just in time so that all charges are required to be preemptively dropped?

Trick question — answer: ours.

Such a colossal failure of rule of law. What sort of justice system allows a candidate under investigation for crimes that could have disqualified him succeed in unlawfully obstructing and stalling until he could win just in time to require that all charges be dropped? 🤯

Biden wouldn’t do this because he believes in the rule of law and wouldn’t make use of the massive loophole the S.C. so generously gave him as president. He knows they intended these kingly powers for his successor, not for him.

Perhaps Biden should simply ask to see it and, granted immunity as the current king, I mean president, release it.
