Not the #caturday post I wanted to make. But last night I had to help the family who took Rust in with putting her down. She has aggressive cancer and the vet hinted that there was no for sure way to save her.
Please, fix your cats. Snuggle those babies. They're with us for shorter than it seems.

I'm not on FB much anymore. I'm just there for my local buy nothing group, really. But I do get distracted. Today, it was this. All things considered, this felt incredibly ironic.

So......They're still at this stage? How long have they been in office? Nine months? Maybe if they weren't zip tying babies, kidnapping brown people, trying to pin all the hate crimes in trans people and actually releasing the Epstein file, they'd have one by now.

As JD Vance continues to open his mouths enough for sound to escape to all of our detriment, we should all remember this moment.
He handled himself with grace and poise and certainly not like a giant man child who was caught morally cheating again.

My husband and I took a walk out at one of the bird sanctuary beaches near us. It was beautiful.
I know a LOT of people prefer skies of blue and sunshine. Not this guy. Give me stormy, grey days any and every day.

Well, I messed it up a bit but I think it's still cool.
It used to be the same tie-dye blue all over. I thought that was boring and I live on the beach. So, whale silhouettes from below it is.
I left the bleach on too long so the "water" is too bright and the "whales" aren't as sharp. But I like it.
I am wearing a blue tie-dye short sleeve shirt that gets lighter towards the center of the chest. In the middle of the bright spot are two forms, one looks something like a whale and the other looks kinda like a dolphin.

We have a gophersnake on our property.
These guys get a bad rep. They are not rattlesnakes but they get killed because people think they are.
If thick with arrow shaped head and a rattle, rattlesnake.
If narrow with slim head and no rattle, gophersnake.
Gophersnakes eat your invading rodents.

So, the windmill bird thing came up again.
I dug around and found numbers for you. Admittedly, I've seen some variations depending on where I looked. Though, everywhere I looked still had windmills at a far lower mortality rate than many other causes of death in the bird population.

I used this in my game recently. I realized that I hadn't thrown a riddle at my players in a while. So, I sat down and thought this up. It got laughs.
