We need Congress, Republicans and Democrats, to say - "Hey! You need us to do that." Even if the Republicans choose to vote on these things and dismantle our government, Congress needs to step up. We can't let a single individual take over everything. That is the path to tyranny. (6)

The Founders expected Congress to "complain" that the Executive was taking their power, not expecting Congress to lie down and let the Executive run roughshod over them because he was doing what they wanted anyway. (5)

Congress for its part, is doing nothing. Trump going around Congress like this is more or less making them even more ineffective. They are happier allowing him to make them useless than to claim their own power for themselves. (4)

So he's already violating the law in just that one way. It's also a matter of time before the "Unitary Executive" theory is affirmed by the Supreme Court, which would make those civil protections a memory. (3)

as well as other systems our government depends on to function - command and control systems in the US Military, for example.

Musk is crippling our government by going through and firing people who have civil protections meant to keep things stable, and keep those people in their jobs. (2)

Think about it: the "audit" that Musk is conducting uses computer hackers, not accountants. They are changing the code in the most fundamental systems of our government. It's only a matter of time before Musk and his team are able to hold the full faith and credit of the United States hostage (1)
