True and important.
But it is important not to lose track of the fact that wind farms can (yet) not be created or operated without fossil fuels.
For offshore wind farms, I believe the energy payback is around 2 years.

From the NYT.
Get Trump to celebrate that all he is achieved is rollback much of what was a consequence of his own, mad tariff delusions.
Dems should call that out loudly and don’t let him get away with it.

And Xi, like Putin, played him like a 🎻.

Police arrested 5 people linked to the Louvre Heist, part of a 4-man team…

Fascinating maths!

Amic. I am Dutch and although I haven’t lived there for about 30 years, each time I visit it strikes me how many kids you can get on one bicycle.

See for instance this one that I downloaded from the interweb.

A travel agency in Bilbao.
They specialise in flat package holidays.

We love good food and we luckily can afford some more expensive restaurants at times (like our anniversary today).
We had superb food in the Quattro Passi in Nerano today, but the outstanding dish was this amuse bouche of a clear jelly that in your mouth exploded into a fully fletched tomato salad.

The Amalfi coast is gorgeous. Today we sailed along that coast and around Capri.
Never set foot on the island, but these are gorgeous places.

Now know that a “zupa di pesci”, is in fact not a soup but a huge plate of gorgeous seafood and fish; a whole meal instead of the starter I thought it was!

We sailed around the island of Capri today. Gorgeous vistas.
And many expensive yachts.

We also passed the entrance of the world famous Blue Grotto there.
18€ pp to get in.
And a 4 hour queuing time.

Nah. Perhaps not.

(So, I looked at this gorgeous picture I found on the interweb).

Today is we visited (for the first time in my life) Positano and Ravello on the Italian Amalfi coast.
Gorgeous places.
And, 95% of the people there were… American.
Good for them, but prices inflated by between 75-100%.

(“Yeah, a bargain at 150€! That less than $200, you know!”; next town: 23€ 😜).

Y un super sabato a tutti de Marina Del Cantone!
September 20, 2025 at 7:10 AM
We are in a wonderful place called Marina Del Cantone (Nerano, Italy). It’s great to see speedboats, RIBs, launches, race up to the pier at high speed, smoothly slow down the last 10 meters, the skipper jump onto the pier, tie their boat, and -cool as cool can be- walk ashore.
What skill!

Totally unrelated, of course, but quite coincidental, I received this email from Can Alegria in Paris today....

Something you would fancy? 😉

This is a headline from the Washington Post. The guy who killed Kirk had criticised him!
That in itself should have been enough for the death penalty!

“Can business trust Nigel Farage?”.

This must be the dumbest question anyone an ask.
Can anyone, let alone businesses, trust someone who -solely for his own narcissistic gain- ruined a country economically and socially with his Brexit Delusion.

Just stop it, Economist.
And yes I read the article.

Post a perfect album from the 90e that isn’t Nirvana, Pearl J, Soundgarden, or Alice in Chains.
