Went out to Cuban food with my dear friend and fellow game writer Scott Glancy today.

We discussed all things (literally), and didn't even mean to get the pride flag in the photo, but agreed it was fortuitous and very flattering.

This spider has decided that its web belongs at head height, blocking our back door. We have explained the situation and removed one web as respectfully as possible, but the spider is undeterred.

I'm all for early Halloween decorations, but there are ripe tomatillos in out in the garden!

My legs seem to be pinned under something heavy. I must stay here and wait for rescue.

Some people were posting eyes, so I took this picture. Didn't feel like adding it to a larger thread, but I'll post it.

Take the fictional characters quiz & post the first 4 you know.

Disclosure: I skipped 2 characters because I don't promote the work of a certain author. I really liked the characters though, so too bad.

I'm deeply flattered by this portrayal. Fun quiz.

She went in here of her own free will. It seems to be her new favorite "resting between bouts of fetch" spot.

Blueberry progression.

First image is the end of March. Second is a few days ago. More to come!

More pretty things from my yard. Tis the season.

This is two different magnolia trees grafted together. In previous springs the squirrels have eaten most of the purply blossoms and left only the white ones to fully bloom, but this year we get this amazing mix and match full bloom tree!

We're having a little hanami (花見) in our backyard today. It's super windy, so I hope the blossoms hold out until afternoon, but here's how they looked yesterday

Looking up from my backyard.

This one's a few days old. There are more blossoms now

Ruth thinks I'm very mean for stopping her from eating the bed. Hina expresses her anti-bed-eating solidarity. She hasn't tried to eat a bed in years!

Blood Wyrm Moon

Yes, I know I spelled it wrong, but we all know I really spelled it right.

Big crowd at the 50501 protest in Salem, Oregon today. Lots of amazing signs and wonderful people, and even a live alpaca.

Cops drove past a lot, but no ugliness, no counter protesters. Tons of people honking in support.

I always love the chants.

This is what democracy looks like!

I absolutely live for piles of sleepy paws.

An impressive double rainbow that graced our protest efforts.

The second rainbow isn't showing up well on this camera, but both went all the way across in a full arc. I just couldn't fit the whole thing in frame. 🌈

We randomly plugged in my old lava lamp while playing cribbage the other night. Here are photos of its activity after 1 game of cribbage, and after 2 games.

Protest is vital to democracy, and a planet to live on is vital to life. I'm behind Greenpeace on this.

If you don't know about the dangerous and offensive lawsuit Greenpeace has been hit with, check out their website about it at GreenpeaceOnTrial.org

Community Gathering!

I'm hosting another meeting with folks from the first two. One of our people does graphic design and made us these posters!

Please spread the word. We have more space booked than we need, so everyone is very welcome!

PM with questions!

Flaming katy update!

This is seriously my emotional support plant. All my plants are, really--they're such generous friends. The flaming katy's bright orange blossoms are so particularly uplifting in winter time tho. A bit of sunshine in the darkness--Galadriel's phial in plant form.

We got an amazing spot for the rally, right behind the speakers!

Great speakers, empowering chants, and info on more opportunities to get involved!

There's a lot going on this week. I might come back out for the reclaim MLK Day event on Monday!
