Raised by nymphs, died without meeting battle. Got a blue sky because I strongly dislike Trump and Elon.
What a pig. We won't forget this

The rich Muslims are the most destructive, they make the rules for their countries to keep their poor down, then mask it as piety, which makes the uneducated poor kill in their name. Trump's exact playbook. This is trouble.

Straws in general are stupid. Who decided just drinking from a cup was so damn hard? But if MAGA hates paper straws now then that's fine by me. More shit for them to worry about while I sit back and continue to dream of a world where straws were never invented.

You literally can’t trust deals with the GOP because it’s institutionally devoid of honor.

And I was basically saying you need to widen your perspective and do some research on what constant distraction does to children's brains on a biological level. But I respect you and your opinion, so let's just agree to disagree.

Eat shit Jared, the fascists won't spare you for siding with them.

You're obviously seeing yourself reflected personally in my comments, this was not my intent. Apologies, but phones are bad in school, social media or no (90% of the time it is). A child with the attention issues you describe needs medication and a strong support group. not a free phone pass.

They mostly do tho. Social media isn't good for kids and it needs to be regulated. Cyber-bullying, tech addiction, issues related to eating disorders or mental illness are all proven side effects of social media use at a young age. This is science. Not my opinion. Research pls

Okay, sorry that happened to you. we don't do that anymore. I have like 40 different testing groups with different conditions for each students needs, vetted by the councilor, the parent, and their interventionist. Many are taking it individually, some in small groups with people they trust

Read my follow-up. That is something covered by accommodations nowadays. There are better alternatives than just letting children scroll around doing whatever they want
March 11, 2025 at 5:04 PM
Also nowadays we have individual accomodations for state testing that allow councilors to intervene and give students things they need individually to succeed. IT, the teachers, and councilors all have to work together. It's an elaborate process.

Young people's brains cannot handle being pulled in that many directions. Social media should have an age minimum. I will die on this hill.

They literally will sit on their phones through an entire class and you can't fail them because the district will lose state funding if not enough kids pass, so they shuffle em through. Parents are divided, but mostly demanding their kids keep the phones where I am.

I'm a big believer in the classics but we need to start with basic literacy. People who aren't involved in education don't know how bad the situation has gotten. Social media has destroyed kids' attention span and their ability to analyze text. We need to teach them to walk so they can run.

Meditations and The Odyssey helped me through some dark times. I was not lucky enough to be able to study the classics in university except a few electives but I do read a lot of Greeks in my spare time. It's my understanding that Xenophon is considered a bit of a hack but Anabasis is lovely too imo

It's also important to remember a lot of Tesla shareholders are institutions, sometimes benevolent ones like the American Federation of Teachers, sometimes large index funds like Vanguard. These institutions are slow moving, but ruled by capital. Trust the process. They can't ignore us forever.
March 11, 2025 at 4:30 AM
If Tesla stock was valued at zero he would still have something like 90 billion dollars. The goal of this should be to get the shareholders on his back, unseat him from as many positions as possible. Trump only respects power. If we give him an opening he will devour Elon. Will make trump weaker too
March 11, 2025 at 4:10 AM
The day he *does* anything at all positive for this country I will consider changing my opinion on him. Words are just words. He said the right ones to get into power so he can help Trump ratfuck the constitution. He does not impress me.
March 11, 2025 at 2:48 AM
Your money is serving the oligarchs, there's no way to stop them with laws or courts. We must take their money until their fragile little empire cracks. It's not personal but Tesla vehicles and dealerships must be targeted for protests en masse.

Lol that Tesla has value still and can be traded in for a myriad of cheaper cars. They want to trade their Tesla in for another 100K monster.
