Pleasant to work in the shop when you have good weather. This sculpture is titled "Taking Flight". Birds and butterflies in a abstract figure shape. All are flying through a climbing vine. I have to add about a dozen leaves and a stainless steel gazing ball on top. Height eight feet.

I follow 42 cities in the surrounding states that have sculpture walk programs. The attached photos of my sculpture are pieces I plan to exhibit in the 2026 season. I am working to start an exhibit in Papillion next year. We will be soliciting eight sculptors to exhibit around Halleck Park Lake.

Used two small mirrors to reflect what the barn owl sees. Title of this photograph is Barn Owl View. Photograph is 21" X 27". It looks like he has reflective sunglasses. Having a little fun with the idea that birds watch us.

After getting back the Art of the Heart sculpture from a Wayne Nebraska lease I added four butterflies to the figure.
Butterflies are known for their metamorphosis throughout their life. With humans, Metamorphosis can also refer to the idea of growing, evolving, and improving oneself.

My granddaughter loves to fishing in Minnesota. Fishing off the pier, she catches Bluegills, which she can see from the railing of the pier. Sometimes the fish wrap the fishing line around the post of the fishing pier. This sculpture will be installed in Wayne Nebraska this month.

The title of this sculpture is "Figure Taking Flight". It is currently on display at the Electric Admin Building, 502 Carroll Ave., Ames, Iowa. The Figure Taking Flight sculpture is represented through the use of butterflies ascending from the human form.
