Thank you. I’m literally going through this with my job, here in New York State, and they will not allow me to use my sick time as needed even though I’m a high-risk pregnancy. More needs to be done to protect women in this country, period. 20hrs of time is abysmal.

I’m a New Yorker and I know this. Just because they’re required, doesn’t mean most jobs allow it to happen. Jobs see taking sick time as a burden and pregnant women often face workplace discrimination by their employers. You also cannot use your maternity leave for prenatal appointments.

I’m aware. If 2 days of prenatal appointments is all they think pregnant women need, they’re a joke. I’m currently pregnant and sonograms are done monthly throughout the duration of pregnancy as well as various other bloodwork and testing. 20hrs is not enough.

20 hours is literally nothing lol. America is a joke.
