I love these soft colors with the pops of black. I figured out that folding the shawl in half makes it easy to wear. #Knitting 🧶

I have a growing pile of finished knit & crochet projects that need to be blocked before I can wear them. First in line is the #CivitasSpiralisKAL shawl that was bound off over a week ago. It's fun pinning this unusual shape into place. #Knitting 🧶 #KnitSky

#NewWIP I cast on a slightly modified version of the "Niobe Jumper" by Kari Helene-Rane. I'm holding sock yarn with a fuzzy laceweight to get gauge, and I modified the construction slightly to start with a provisional cast on instead of trying to work Kitchener St. at the end. #Knitting 🧶 #KnitSky

A baby hummingbird was found on the farm today, fallen from the nest. The folks fed it sugar water from a syringe and set it in a small box in a tree so it is visible to the other hummingbirds. The cute little thing is super sleepy now that it has a full belly. 💚 #FarmLife #Hummingbird #Wildlife

A masterpiece from early in my #Knitting journey is the "Madeleine Shawl" by @janicacarter.bsky.social . Finished in 2020, knit with Malabrigo Sock yarn.

A more recent FO is "Faded Andromeda Wings" by Yumi Yarns. I knit this in Dec 2023 using Blu Fiber Co. Cashmerino.

The #CivitasSpiralisKAL starts today and I am already loving this #knit shawl project from designer @needlefoxarts.bsky.social I'm using Always Be Kind Yarn in a colorway dyed for the brand new LYS @stringfieldyarn.bsky.social . This shawl celebrates community and I am excited to participate. 🧶

I finally cast on the "Cuairteagan" syncopated brioche cowl for #SkyKAL. 💙🧶 I'm only a few rounds in, but this is proving to be a lovely #MeditativeKnitting project with easy to memorize stitch repeats. I've been enjoying the process while watching the snow fall. #Knitting #KnitSky

#ShowMeYourKnits I finished this cabled cardigan for my partner last Autumn. The pattern is "Fisherman Shawl Collar" by Mari Sweaters, and I used Hikoo Sueño yarn. This project was intense! The pattern came with written instructions only, so I translated them into Stitchfiddle charts. #KnitSky

Yesterday I cast on my first brand new project of 2025. This is a heavily modified version of "Maze Socks" by Sarah Shepherd from the Knit Picks collection "Rockin' Socks".

I have a love/hate relationship with #SockKnitting. But the mods I am implementing here may be key to getting a good fit. 🤞

The sock features a solid black toe in a slightly textured stitch and a zig-zagging mosaic pattern that stretches across the top of the foot. The pattern is worked in a bright yarn speckled with neon hues, which pops against the black. The second partially knit sock rests on the pillow to the right of the foot.
