Japanese media actually got two press releases about Sekiro: No Defeat last night: one from Qzilla (studio) and one from ARCH (production planning). The one from ARCH is the more important one because they are running the show as producers, not Qzilla.

From what I hear, they're aware of the criticism and are plowing ahead anyway. I'm more curious if the banks are aware of reader sentiments here because they have to be convinced that the business is viable in order to get loans.
