oh and one last thing— I do genuinely struggle with OCD and paranoia, but this suspicion didn't just come out of thin air for no reason. I had multiple factors going into play. I even talked to some folks privately before I even continued investigating, & my suspicion was validated across the board.

why or how would I harass a minor if I have said minors actively blocked and don't ever interact and just generally avoid minors as a whole as of the New Year?? like how have people come to THIS conclusion after I got rid of any and all minors just a few days ago?? 😭😭

I don't want anything to do w them quite honestly and that's why I blocked them, esp bc I was changing how I do things on my acc— I was transitioning from a very sfw account to a more adult/occasionally NSFW account & I didn't want to expose minors to that, so I did the age check and blocked kids.

anyway, doxxing and harassment go against everything I stand for, they go against my character, they go against my morals, so no, I would not have done this. I also did not "harass" a minor bc I didn't even TALK to any minors, I literally blocked all the minors on or before Jan. 1st.

the fanart in question were all BG3 related and my bio had BG3 in it so it'd be very easy to take very basic info abt my hobbies from my bio to create a brand new account that would be "friends" w me. this is what scared me about it.

me and the account I was suspicious of did have otherwise "normal" conversations before and after the NSFW fanart came out, they didn't just start sending me that shit out of nowhere. at first I wasn't even bothered, until I saw she followed the kiddo too. that's when I began to wonder.

so no, I did not think an IP would pull up the kind of information that people are shitting themselves over. besides that, I was also told it's actually really hard to do, so I completely scrapped that idea and decided I'd just feel things out w the person.

I asked what he knew about them and what i was told, verbatim, was, "like the worst that people can really get out of an IP address, is just kinda the vibes of where you live. So like, they'd know you live in [redacted town name] or w/e it'd say, but like, that's not that crazy"

nobody I talked to knew anything except my brother, who is a freelance software engineer.

"I didn't know if anyone had a certain set of skills" DID NOT MEAN "oh can someone pull up a kids IP for me" it meant, "if anyone has a certain skill (or knowledge) that could help me find out for sure"
