Nah, but I've always thought there's some form of material not being covered in adolescence.. curriculums teach science, but not the details that led to our society needing doctors, nurses, etc... as if we aren't molding our children into a social understanding idk

"Linked" ? Unless I'm missing something... If you choose to have a natural birth - a means of birth with a historically high mortality rate (child & mother) - that's a personal decision and responsibility. Linked? Really?

That & selective service are difficult arguments to raise. The 'purpose in life' that service gives us is where I agree... From a political perspective though, I believe we could find more support starting with recruitment programs in state/federal prisons or re-enacting diversion programs in court

That’s funny considering Last I checked it was illegal to even pass a ballot initiative that instructed a commission to exercise its power in any specific way (Malibu,12 Cal App 5th 1196(2017)[Ballot init. deemed unlawful])

Those contingency funds you speak of are NOT program specific. That is the ENTIRE departments emergency fund. It would barely fund #SNAP what, 60% of one month? & destroy the entire emergency footing? Remember, the @usdagov.bsky.social is responsible for so much more than just 1 program...

Bear in mind that contingency fund is what 6b? #SNAP funding estimates are what 9-12b? That's 60% of one month covered of we used emergency funds. Not a good idea.
