I just want VR to be more accessible so I can chill and play co-op games in the same room as my internet friends. It really is life changing but the way it's marketed simultaneously over and undersells it by ignoring it's actual strengths in favour of silly futuristic aesthetics and focus on work.

They’re not even promising to reverse climate change or cure cancer, teach children etc etc anymore it’s just threat of punishment, destroying any just society, destroying art and labor by owning it by law and ideology. When tasked to talk like a futurist they describe dystopia as progress
