Mercedes F1, MKL NIHL ice hockey, Welsh rugby and my dogs!
Pitch level right at the back was bearable. Wembley is poor at the best of times but shocking tonight

Let me know if you visit the Thunderdome, I'll buy you a drink :)

Fair write up, didn't realise it was you on the stream! Very fair and balanced punditry, nice one. This weekend is crucial for Lightning - we've been playing some fabulous hockey recently so I hope this weekend is an aberration. As for TJay, I'd sign him in a second, what an addition he'd be to MKL!

Thank you very much! I thought I was going mad and had no replays in the stadium! Oh good, more kicking - just what we need!

It clearly can work and anything that makes IH more accessible has my vote. Almost without exception anyone that I can get to a game loves it, it's just getting them there that's tough so accessibility and exposure are key for me. If alignment helps with that I'm on board.

If you want radical ideas why not *get rid* of the cup as it stands and replace it with an extended playoff weekend - the playoffs are an end of season weekend cup tournament right now anyway. I agree that it would change the dynamic - I think I like the different dynamics of league and knockout.

For me the league title is #1 - it's the biggest indicator of performance and achievement for the season. The playoffs are a great end of season party and the cup a different competition but would you really say that last season's NIHL champs were Phantoms, who finished 34 points behind Knights?

I'm not sure we're aligned on the cup and playoffs. I would personally like complete separation of league and cup games. There's a very different atmosphere in knockout games - our (MK Lightning) games against Romford show how these games can upset form and place different pressures on teams.

I like your perspective on Hockey being bigger than perhaps we appreciate, I do think that all sports suffer at the hands of football and it's blanket coverage. I'd love to see one of the mainstream channels actually cover elite league IH in the UK and see how it would land.

And they're all in car parks...

I'm convinced that our cup win last year ruined the rest of the season, the team seemed to lose focus after that. Hopefully going out to Romford will help us focus on the league and playoffs! Not complaining - last year's cup final second leg was absolutely amazing!

Swindon are on a roll though, they're going to be right on our tails as the season continues and have Hull beaten their slump?

Bees were tough to break down at an unusually subdued Thunderdome on Saturday but there's wasn't anything in that performance to suggest that they had the beating of Leeds.

As an MKL supporter I have to agree, they have great home form, great away form and great discipline. Glad you enjoyed it, careful though because ice hockey is dangerously addictive!

Knights are in terrifying form right now, it's going to take a mammoth effort to beat them to the league title!

Not the way around I'd have expected but I'd have taken a three point weekend for MKL on Friday! Two tremendous games against wildcats, their powerplay is awesome!

On the contrary, I think that di Grassi, with his single year of F1 experience where he failed to score a point, is perfectly qualified to opine on Ferrari's team strategy.
But we're engaging so we've fallen for it!
