You seem to have forgotten his marvelous research regarding the mathematics which subsequently allowed development of the twist-off beer bottle cap. Much more important than cat doors, unless you are a cat.

Almost 25 years ago, I was advising an investment bank regarding their holdings in Monsanto and how the recent introduction of GM crops would affect the value of the portfolio. I told them to hold as there would be gradual acceptance of the technology. And here we are, still fighting that battle...
