Most teams healthy scratches are going to be under $1m players so won’t help that much. This just penalizes those who bank cap space to close the LTIR loop that could have been closed in an easier way just making teams have to take guys off by a certain date to be playoff eligible.

When the payoffs start they are suddenly $10m over the cap & have to sit several players to get under the roster cap which would undo a lot of the gain of getting McDavid.
That is an extreme example but it would not be out of the question for teams to have to bench guys for salary in the playoffs

Hypitical example. The Oilers are bad and McDavid tells them he isn’t signing an extension. Caps are doing well and are banking $5m til deadline and go all in to try and get Ovi a Cup in his last year and trade for McDavid with the banked space and only a small salary going out.

But if you add so you are over the Cap because you banked space early you can’t use your whole roster for the playoffs with the new cap rule.

No one has been able to explain how banking cap space no using LTIR is not completely worthless now since the point was to allow teams to be under the cap early with the benefit of being able to be over later. Now those players or someone wouldn’t be able to play in the playoffs

The deposit is 2,000 Euro, Red Bull won’t even notice that going away especially since it doesn’t even count against the cost cap.

I am not saying protests should not be allowed I am against pointless wasteful protests that are only done because they know they lose nothing by doing it.

So no actual argument so you just resort to insults. It is the same idea the NHL used to reduce pointless challenges when they switched from a failed challenge going from a loss of time out to a minor penalty. It greatly reduced challenges that were nothing more than hope and slowing the game.

Why is that funny if there’s a consequence to an unsuccessful protest you’ll stop having people protesting with a blind. Hope that something happens and you’ll only have protest for actual things that should be fixed.

One million against the cost cap for the first unsuccessful protest and double the penalty for every subsequent failed protest.

The rule book says the face-off begins when the players and officials take their appropriate positions. The goalie with his helmet off turned away from the play is not his appropriate position and the face-off should not have started.

There better be some penalty points along with that. Intentionally hitting another driver especially when you are being told to let them by should be an automatic race ban.

Not the first time he has done this in his career either. He thinks the world revolves around him and he should never have to follow the rules but will complain any time another driver tries anything even borderline.

Max should be getting a black flag for intentionally hitting another driver. He is a danger to other drivers. He needs to be sat for a race too.

Florida has never had taxes why has it only become an issue in the last 6 years? It isn’t the taxes both teams had great cores through the draft and then once you are a top team others want to go there. There is a reason Marchand wanted to go to the Panthers and it wasn’t the taxes.
