There isn't a realistic trade involving MPJ that makes the Nuggets better. Knowing MPJ would have to be involved, LaVine isn't a player they should have any interest in at all.

Washington entered tonight's game dead last on offense AND on defense according to EPM. Can't think of a more embarrassing loss, especially considering how well Jokić played individually. I have no idea how Booth can keep his job at this point.

Okay I don't mean to overreact to one game but if Jokić gives you 56/16/8 against the worst team in the league and you LOSE, all bets are off. They can't sit around and do nothing.

I'd love to see the Broncos win out and go into the playoffs 12-5, but it that can't happen I'd also love to see them alternate wins and losses the rest of the way and go into the playoffs 10-7 without a single win against a team with a winning record

I think when you get right down to it, the Nuggets just aren't that good right now. Fortunately they still have time to right the ship but if the playoffs started today I wouldn't consider them a serious threat.

Very significant difference between the 7 seed (likely KC/Buf) and the 6 seed (likely Pit/Hou). It's plausible the Broncos could even win a playoff game if they can get up to 6

Some of this stuff for the Nuggets was bound to happen (Jokić was due for some regression shooting threes for example), other stuff is emblematic of a team that's just not good enough right now (zero contribution from any bench players, -17 on fastbreak points, -18 points in the paint, etc.)

Two years ago tonight I was among ~17 viewers watching Dalton Knecht have a decent game in a loss to San Jose St. on ESPN+ in what ultimately became a 12-20 season at Northern Colorado. Tonight he scored 37 points for the Lakers playing next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis. What a world!

Glad the Nuggets won. Just one game but hopefully it gets people to step off the ledge a bit regarding Jamal. Also sure do hope Vlatko is alright, that poor dude can't catch a break. With a knee sprain you have to assume he's out at least a few weeks even in a best case scenario though.

Vlatko Cancar threw down a vicious dunk and immediately couldn't put weight on his left leg. Asked for a sub, looked like he was holding his knee. He missed all of last season with a torn left ACL.
