ushering in the impending #autocralypse [pronounced au-TOC-cra-lypse]. That’s my portmanteau for autocratic apocalypse. I’m hoping it catches on before #Trump makes the end of democracy a reality.

While the dialogue and acting are wanting (as they often are in Lucas’s hands), surely Revenge of the Sith deserves the Cassandra Award, for a prophecy that no one believed could happen, but which now nears fulfillment as Palpatine-like Trump goes full #autocrat,

The final film in the Star Wars prequel trilogy and released in 2005 (28 years after the first Star Wars film), it long precedes Trump’s challenges to Obama’s birth certificate which put him on the political map.

The last of the #StarWars movies that Lucas directed (and co-written by Andor’s Gilroy), Revenge of the Sith is a cogent examination of how autocracy seizes the reins of power.

“That’s what I tell my writing students, that if they need more energy, look to Hermes; if they need more form, look to Apollo.”

She tweeted that Taste for Chaos would be the next thing she read. I hope she enjoyed it.

The mayhem #Trump causes no doubt provides fodder in the writer's rooms of these shows, but also hints at how the rebellion takes shape.

At Disney, apparently, rebellion fills the air. Andor is the Star Wars prequel about the early formation of the rebellion against the Empire. The second most expensive series in television history (after Game of Thrones), many call Andor, “Star Wars for grown-ups.”

Now in its sixth season, heroine June Osborne (Elizabeth Moss) is leading the rebellion against oligarchic Gilead. We watch with bated breath as the final season draws to a close.

Disney’s Hulu cablecast Atwood’s prescient vision for all to stream. Here, the Canadian author seemed to forecast, here is where America is headed. Trump 2.0 seems to be bearing her out.

"I was thinking about how perhaps improv might be a way to think about the way forward for each of us. Right now, the established script for how D.C. operates, and our roles in it, has been shredded. It’s time to write a new one. We need to be willing to surprise ourselves."
