‼️ Really thrilling news - we've heard from the fabulous William Purves Memorials that they have cleaned Fergusson's stone (erected by Burns!) and they have done an absolutely fantastic job!!

We had an amazing night last night
at St Cecilia's Hall for our Remembering Robert Fergusson event with the Scottish Poetry Library.

#OnThisDay in 1774 Robert Fergusson died. He was aged just 24.
Notable for his poetry in both Scots and English, his works included 'Auld Reikie', 'The Daft Days', and 'Hallow Fair'.
His legacies are broad, from the literary and cultural to the medical.
