🆕 RFBerlin Working Paper! Hanming Fang, Jiayin Hu & Miao Yu show that longer paid maternity leave in China reduces women’s job callbacks by 17%, pushing them toward lower-paying jobs and longer job searches. Crucially, firm subsidies helped offset the gap.
