A simple tutorial for glowing objects that I made for someone on discord.
I forgot to add that you can vary the opacity of the non-blurred color layer so the details of the base object can show through.
ReyTracing's Quick & Dirty Glow Tutorial Step 0: Draw object without glow Step 1: On a new layer, paint on the glow color Step 2: Duplicate glow color & blur the duplicate layer Step 3: Set the layer blending mode of the blurred layer to "Add" Step 4: Duplicate the "Add" layer until sufficient glow is achieved Step 5: On a new layer, use the glow color to lightly paint over any areas that the light would spill onto
