For these type of movements it might be better to look up “Lerp Smoothing”, it’s basically just multiplying current position to target position by a ratio every frame. It makes it smooth while not dependent on specific number / delay

Have you looked into Interstellar before? That movie got a very strong motif usage of clocks and playing around with BPMs because entire time dilation thing
