Sorry to bring something from the Other Place, but this struck me when I read it. King is a perfect example of someone who's elevated to an expert purely on the basis of lived experience. That does not qualify you to manage millions (unless *that* is your experience).

Did he not hear of "Well done, Angus"? 😂

There's just too much important stuff to read these days, so I rarely recommend something lest it divert your attention from something more important, about which I'm unaware. But there is *nothing* more important than this. It is literally how democracy dies. So read it. #nzpol

A senior Nat Minister? Indubitably. The person in the street? Probably not, & it's not their fault. Try asking people if they know what event the "marae" road sign evokes. We are not taught much of our recent history (& many don't want to know) & thus we lack the ability to contextualise.

Aside from the pathetic, childish stupidity of having a badge made, the number is 69/420. (I guess there isn't a number for Ketamine). I'll bet this cockwomble and Big Balls sniggered like 11-year-old boys when they thought that up.

"Stop scoffing all the strawberries, they don't grow on trees you know! Oh, wait..."

We also use that term, but for these!

Emergencies?! They're a staple in my freezer! One's on the menu tonight. These are from a local bakery, not the supermarket - though the more expensive ones from there aren't bad. (And no, I don't eat an entire family pie in one sitting, in case you were wondering 😛 They're just cheaper that way.)

I'm done placing my bets on who'll be the new Pope. Once I'd narrowed the field to three, it was easy.

Can't believe that @vizcomic.bsky.social predicted NZ First's policy platform back in 1986. I mean, this new law will have to be enforced, right? #nzpol

Similar to the situation with CBD gyms in Lower Hutt. Not precisely a Welsh saying, but one that may be applicable there and I am certain is here: "Where there's muck, there's brass."

Well then. I'll just take my eyeballs elsewhere if this is the kind of service I get in this establishment. I want to speak to your supervisor.

Damnit I thought this platform wasn't going to track my brainwaves through the 5G like the other ones do, then this appears in my feed.

Debating this at The Other Place. Otherwise rational people telling me "all charities have overheads" & "he doesn't really take that much" & "what are you going to do, reform the whole sector?" Why yes, that's precisely what I'd like to do. There's plenty of others. Even Google knows what's what.

I'll say this though... he still has a way to go before hitting peak cringe.

There was more mincing going on here than in a butchers working overtime.

No more voting, you say?

Reichstag, you say? Just saw this picture of Chancellery members being denied entry by a Blackshirt. (Colourized, 1931)

Slightly unfortunate translation of Seymour's answer when asked who had invited him to Waitangi. #nzpol

Takes about 30 sec to find what one major insurer would provide a (in this case male, non smoker) policy holder. (But tough luck if you're over 60, you should be put out in the snow). This is $544.66 a month and look at what you have to pay extra to add to the policy. Top policy costs another $100.

I thought this place was aiming to be free of bots and spammers. I would have thought a daily automated "find" on certain keywords would be a start. This is hardly subtle.
