It also shuts down any discussion of the way an image or a scene can have multiple aspects/multiple valences — “what does it mean that this scene of violence also evokes sensuality? why does that have the impact it does?” I’m horny for fear but I’m also capable of holding multiple ideas in my head!

The flippancy around sexual abuse is so irritating — I’m sure they think it makes them sound tough and their statements more witty and impactful but what it announces to me is “just in case there was any doubt, this person Does Not Actually Care”.

My hair is absolutely straight, fine, thin, and lifeless. I haven't had long hair in... I was going to say "a zillion years" but I definitely was growing out my hair between 2016 and 2020 and that shit looked bad. Teasing was not on the menu! But now I need to tease this wig mercilessly.
