When asked, most people (72.4%) living near lynx in Norway say they LIKE living with lynx. Just 8.3% say they dislike lynx. In Scotland, where we're currently denied the opportunity to live near lynx, the majority of people WANT to see lynx reintroduced.

A beech clean. Beech are not native here and smother native saplings so to help restore this ancient woodland they get the bow saw. Feels wrong but is very necessary.

"the practice of muirburn actually made no difference to the extent of the Dava megafire.
Muirburn dries out the land by killing off the vegetation and drying out the peat, making it less resistant to fire. leaves behind lots of dead stems of heather which which provide perfect fuel”Prof D MacMillan

Thorn is the mother of oak.

Roe deer have nibbled most of our young oak except the ones protected by thorn such as with this we survivor in the bramble. 🌳 💕

Hi Barbara, firstly your oak sounds amazing. Thanks for the offer of acorns. I have been trying only to use seeds/whips from local provenance zones 203 or 204. Not sure where you are in the country. You could DM me.

One of the wee oaks the young team planted, doing well amongst the bramble and bracken. Thanks to your donations.
