It is March in eastern Canada, where it is common to see shorts with a sweater and snow after 15°C days.

On a hike this weekend and chatting away. After a bit of time I looked up and noticed this...the incredible beauty of the earth.

Just a reminder to look up and take it all in.

Whenever I walk in nature, I notice that I am not thinking about being anywhere other than where I am.

All my senses are engaged. I am Simlly Being.

When was the last time that you didn't feel pulled in many directions and could just...Be?

Wrapping up one of the most wild and challenging experiences.

Filled with curiosity, warmth, questions, delightful meals, and thought provoking conversations from my time in Dubai.

Wrestling with the comfort I've had in the past with travel and embracing the challenge to some core understandings.

At the Futures Forum 2024 and considering concepts of time.

How do we hold the paradox of being present in the moment while considering, imagining, and acting for the future 100+ years.

How do we learn from our past, live in the moment, and take actions today for the future in mind?

Ever felt two opposing emotions at the same time? Like grief tangled with gratitude, or joy shadowed by guilt? It's uncomfortable but powerful, living that tension reminds us we're complex, resilient, and fully alive.

As the days get shorter and I feel more sluggish, I bring small moments of nature indoors. I have a cozy winter window with plants, diffuser, and some sand and shells.

Even on dark days, these can boost my mood and energy. How do you stay connected to nature in the winter?

There's something about keeping a tent, sleeping bag, and cook stove in the car...spontaneous camp trips are sure to happen!

When you find a spot you want to explore, just set up and get curious!

I was asked recently "what is something that is seemingly simple, that blows your mind?"

My answer: Tides!! Ok maybe not that simple...but blows my mind every.time.

Pic was taken 2 hrs apart

What's your answer??

It is both sad and unacceptable that an incredible amount of women are afraid to be in nature alone.

Moments like this, surrounded by freshly fallen snow, trees creaking, chickadees, and your own breathe will go unexperienced.

Not only by women, but by those caught up in the constructed world.

Nature never goes out of style!
The tides were high during my afternoon ride. These views never get old.
