This isn’t a fountain pen ink but it’s purple and it’s sparkly and it’s datura so I do not care. (I may try putting it in an old beginner pen to see what happens, I’m thinking the restriction is like the Sailor Dipton shimmers. That is: a warning that there’s an excess of shimmer.)

I had a lovely time talking fountain pens at the Denver Pelikan Hub but the only picture I took was of my lemonade.

And I didn’t realize until after I purchased it that the ebonites are the same used in two of my favorite Esterbrooks.

I had thought I did not anything further from the Colorado Pen Show and then I found out that this Good Made Better prototype pen that had what I thought looked like a decorative moon in the cap is actually an adjustable rollstop. So it’s mine now.

The fountain pen show in Denver is this weekend and ordinarily I’d be saving my pennies solely for that, but it’s also time for Halloween ink releases and something tells me this particular one might not be available forever, so.

It is a beautiful fall morning in Denver and football fans have been in front of the TV since the 7:30a kickoff, which meant there was no line for a change at my favorite bakery. Got a mortadella sandwich and an apple galette.

Yesterday I did not want to leave the house. Today I made it to my favorite bakery and talked to people while waiting in line in the morning sun. A better day, even before I had pastries!

The Glauco Cambon was the first to be released, in 2023, and it’s so very good. Pictures do not do it justice.

Since they don’t have a proper cap, the nib hides behind like a trapdoor and will just never have the same seal. The nose cone came off one of mine once, it was interesting to see how it worked.

It’s a mid-toned pink with a good amount of shading, from what I can tell from the swatch. Haven’t gotten it into a pen yet.
