While the situation with Jordan is tense and of massive importance, it is only one of many ways Trump is strong-arming the world. More than ever govs must rise to the challenge, resist, and fight back -- protecting the WHO, Paris climate agreement, indigenous land and sovereign territories.

Time will tell whether Jordan will stand with its ppl and with Palestinians, which make up 20% of its population (as it has been, notably) or will it bend the knee to Trump, causing massive instability in the region.

Jordan receives nearly $1.5 billion USD/year in aid from the US. Trump is now dangling the aid in front of Jordan, ready to rip it away unless the King concedes. Jordan has always been in this tense position and as long as it is in the pocket of USA, it always will be.
