When Jesus is asked if his disciples pay the Temple tax he tells Peter to go fishing and find two coins so no one is offended. Jesus has a prophetic ire toward the oppressors, but at the same time an eschatological indifference to temporal matters.

There’s an attitude among magisterial Protestant traditions that the creeds are minimum dogmatic statements any Christian can get behind. But baptists are a dissenting tradition who largely see creeds as inhibiting soul liberty. They also don’t believe in “one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.”
