Mazinkaiser SKL is what you get if you take devil side Mazin(Kaiser), give him two pilots from Devilman (code names for Kaido and Magami are Amon6 and Lucifer4, the demons of the two main characters in Devilman) and drop it in the Kanto Hell Zone from Violence Jack. It has heavy ties to Nagai’s work

Dann of Thursday's final attack, "God's Judgment" was named in Super Robot Wars and is in reference to the name Dann, which in Hebrew means "Judge". It's also meant to be ironic, as the Claw is essentially trying to play "God", and Van is passing down (God's) Judgment onto him.

I am meticulously organizing every mecha anime onto my file server by release year (fansub or otherwise). I also grabbed emulators for each SRW game.
The plan is to drop the hammer and marathon every SRW game AND watch every mecha anime in release order, starting with Toei Mazinger Z. Soon™

So I believe them leaning on the OG via the Dynamic Pro call is intentionally done to connect Mazinkaiser and Getter Robo Arc more than just using the OVA. Tetsuya will likely get Emperor G in this game also, and it too has the blue. Just some interesting details
