I wonder what it would do to their self-worth and confidence. To their empowerment. To know that someone, anyone, values them for what they have. And I wonder what that would do to patriarchy.

I just read the Neil Gaiman story. I had read some summary of the allegations from last summer and didn't know what to think at that time but I was certainly a bit sour. But I also didn't fully trust the source at the time because it was the same ones who put out that JKR transphobe podcast, so I wasn't sure what to think at the time.   But when I read this new story from New York magazine published today, I feel like I physically want to throw up and I'm simultaneously too horrified and frozen to cry. I won't even share the link. You can find it if you need. I'm not going to share details. But you are warned. This is not a typical Me Too. This is so much worse and it is traumatizing and if you have any level of trauma as it relates to any of this, I truly think you should be incredibly careful about reading this. You make up your own mind to read it, but I'm telling you, this is so awful. And it's corroborated by multiple sources and NDAs and texts and diaries from multiple people. Neil Gaiman is fucking done. I'm so speechless right now. I can't stand the thought of him ever again. It takes so much to make me feel this level of disgust and like I can't even describe.
