I started buying hellebores about 20 years ago- every time I move, I pull them up and replant. These are today’s bouquet -the first one is especially beautiful!

SO HUGE gardening win!!! I have these wine barrel planters from Home Depot, but every year, the critters dig up my flowers before they can bloom. This year, I figured out what to do! I bought clear umbrellas to cover them at night and create a little greenhouse! #californiagarden #flowers

Another day of organizing. Including a blank space in the closet where I can put “this week’s clothes.” It’s my plan to wear more of my clothes. I got rid of 5 bags of clothing. Packed my holiday stuff away and put a pile in storage that is to wear in a colder environment (soon I’m thinking).

I spent the last five days organizing things at my house. I started with bookshelves, then I did drawers, and finally a tall cabinet. It feels like some kind of meditation. As I work, I think about all of those who have lost so much. Thank you to first responders, and all who are doing so much.

I don’t have words for the grief I feel as friends lose homes and communities lose churches (and everything else). It is incomprehensible. The post is from the actor Jamie Lee Curtis about Community UMC Pacific Palisades. I feel grateful for her sharing and saying what I am feeling. #prayforCA

I am not a morning person, but I get up at 6 AM and walk the dog most days. My reward is to sit on my heated mat, drink coffee, and, at least for now, enjoy my tiny tree. Phoebe likes to join me. Happy Tuesday.
