Chris Mass at Ripon today. Then to the Maundy Thursday liturgy this evening as we receive the oils from the Chris Mass, think about the Jesus on that first Maundy Thursday, strip the church and sit and wait in the darkness. It's getting very real. ✝️

So we had a fantastic Palm Sunday. Parish Holy Communion in the morning with a special gueat preacher from the Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme talking about the issues in the West Bank. In the afternoon we had a service of readings and music for Palm Sunday. Then I had a wedding rehearsal ✝️

It's been a busy couple of days. Still helping with the issue from last week. Also trying to sort everything for PCC this evening and prepare for the APCM. And with Holy week just around the corner I need to start preparing homilies! ✝️

It's been a day turned upside down today by a phone call first thing. So I drop everything, rearrange everything I had in the diary and go and be with the person who needs me. Supporting someone in their darkest hour, bringing the light into their lives, that is the role of a priest. 💜✝️
